Looking east from Independence Pass area to which we took a leisurely drive on Saturday. The pass had just been opened for the season so the levels of snow were still significant, making the drive spectacularly lovely.

Here's why we leave home! Everyone needs a reprieve from a spring full of projects. We got our break last Friday through Monday. Thanks to generous and dear friends, we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing weekend at their lovely condo in Vail. The following images are from several days of leaving behind a long ToDo list!
